The Miami Film School located in Hollywood, Florida offers an intensive, "hands-on, learn-by-doing" training program that teaches students of all ages how to write, shoot, direct and edit their own short, character-driven drama, comedy or horror films at an affordable tuition in 8 or 16 weeks. Students shoot on the latest High-Def cameras and edit on Final Cut Pro in an innovative, state-of-the-art facility with all the latest lighting and sound gear. Each student makes his or her own film and each film is screened at a South Florida movie theater. The learning doesn't end once you graduate. Graduates are allowed to use the schools equipment and facilities for their future films. Best of all, located in the heart of Hollywood, the school offers many unique tropical locations.

Open House
The next Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at 7:00PM
Check-out our DV and HD Cameras and Final Cut Pro Edit Suites. We'll show you a couple of short student films, answer any questions, tour the school and discuss tuition payment plans. Of course, there is no cost or obligation. You should allow 60 minutes. Whether you want to be a writer, director, editor, producer, independent filmmaker or digital production, come to our Open House and check out our school, equipment and studios and see if digital filmmaking is for you. We look forward to meeting you. Feel free to bring a family member or a friend.
Class ScheduleThe next evening class begins on Monday, November 17, 2008. This class meets on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-10:00 pm for 16 weeks.
The next day class begins in March 2009. This class meets Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-2:00pm for 8 weeks.
Student Film ScreeningsOnce your film is complete - watching it come alive on the "big screen" in a local movie theater is very exciting for the filmmaker and their friends, family and other independent film fans who attend our Student Screenings.
